The Timeline

2012

Villa Mamas is born

Villa Mamas opens in Saar, Bahrain, as an extension of Roaya's home — built on recipes from her mother and grandmother, and produce from family farms.

The years after

A house becomes a table

What began as a home kitchen becomes a destination: ingredient-led, seasonal, and unmistakably Bahraini.

Expansion

Across the Gulf

New concepts and new cities — Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and beyond — each carrying the same standards of hospitality.

Today

A global group

A family of brands spanning Bahrain, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi and London, held together by RS Management.

Chef Roaya Saleh, founder of Roaya Saleh & Sons

The Founder

Chef Roaya Saleh

A trailblazing Bahraini chef and cultural storyteller.

Her cooking is ingredient-led and seasonal, shaped by the farms and markets of Bahrain and by the recipes handed down through her family.

She is a champion of women and artisans in hospitality, the founder of the Bahrain Farmers Market, and a global ambassador of Khaleeji cuisine.
